Course Overview
This course has been designed to provide drivers of HGV and PSV vehicles with the understanding of how to conduct effective vehicle roadworthiness inspections for legal compliance.
By providing information of the requirements of undertaking a statutory walk around inspection of a vehicle including reporting of defects. An overview would be given to provide an understanding of how this requirement fits into an Operators maintenance system.
Course Content
To provide delegates with a clear understanding of:-
Implications of fixed penalties and Graduated Fixed penalties for driving a defective vehicle.
A review of prohibitions and the types of Prohibitions that can be issued by the Vehicle and Operator Services Agency.
Operator Compliance Risk Scores (OCRS).
Loading and overloading risks and implications.
